The following three patches add support for the Wind River SBC8548 board
onto the powerpc branch. The patches are as follows:

1) Add basic support for Wind River SBC8548 as powerpc

This adds in the basic platform support file -- closely matching that which
exists for the MPC8548CDS board. These are layered on top of the earlier
SBC8560 patches (only is an issue for the usual Makefile/Kconfig patch
collisions).

 powerpc/arch/powerpc/platforms/85xx/Kconfig   |   10 +

 powerpc/arch/powerpc/platforms/85xx/sbc8548.c |  182 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++
 3 files changed, 191 insertions(+), 2 deletions(-)

2) Add device tree source for Wind River SBC8548 board

This also closely matches what exists for the MPC8548CDS platform. The big
difference here is that this board doesn't have physical access to PCI#2
and it doesn't have the CDS's bridges, i8259, peripherals, etc, so the dts
is overall quite a bit smaller. I've believe I've got all aliases and the
associated gianfar updates etc. that I'd somehow missed in the sbc8560 dts.

 powerpc/arch/powerpc/boot/dts/sbc8548.dts |  219 ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
 1 file changed, 219 insertions(+)

3) Add default .config file for Wind River SBC8548

This config gives basic serial console and ethernet support for doing an
NFS root setup. The SBC8548 has one PCI-X slot, and a short PCI-e slot,
so I've enabled PCI.

 powerpc/arch/powerpc/configs/sbc8548_defconfig |  740 +++++++++++++++++++++++++

Like the 8560 board, I'd quickly spun together a u-boot 1.2.0 for testing
this -- since that was the quickest route for me to get a powerpc capable
version. This too needs a proper u-boot 1.3.1 patchset so we get all the
associated updates within that, like local-mac-address etc. Soon...

Paul.

This adds the basic support for the Wind River SBC8548 board, implemented
as powerpc. It closely follows the implementation of the MPC8548CDS.

This adds the device tree source for the Wind River SBC8548 board. The
biggest difference between this and the MPC8548CDS reference platform
is the absence of the CDS's Arcadia peripherals and physical access to PCI#2.

This is a suitable .config file for building the WRS SBC8548 kernel
to be used for NFS root via one of the TSEC interfaces and with
serial console via the soc/16550 compatible UART.

see comment on the 8560 support, but I don't think you need to exclude
the PHBs anymore. I've fixed this so we have a general quick for FSL
PHBs.

mind looking at converting this to a dts-v1 format?

I figured there might be value in having it as a separate commit, seeing
as there aren't that many other dts-v1 as a reference (yet). Not sure
if I've got all the v1 type changes in that you had in mind, but I fed
it through the latest dtc from git and fed it to the board and it still
seems happy with it.

I'll probably be away from e-mail after this afternoon for the holiday
period -- so thanks (everyone) for the feedback and whatever I don't
get to today, or any additional recommended changes I'll pick up in Jan.

P.

This converts the sbc8548 dts to be dts-v1 compatible. Tested with the
latest git pull of dtc (Dec 21/07).

There are really only two changes with dts-v1.
	1) All integers become C-style, so, decimal by default with
leading 0, 0x or 0b for octal/hex/binary.  d# h# o# are no longer
supported.
	2) References to pths must be writte as &{/some/node/or/other}
instead of &/some/node/or/other. References to labels remain fine as
just &label.

The explicit new source version isn't because the format changes are
large, just because there was no way to make them in a
backwards-compatible way.

Right. I wanted to also test on the 8548, since I can't really plug
anything
into my 8560, and on the 8548, the PCI behaviour is unaltered by
clobbering these. I'll send a patch removing it from both of the
sbc85xx boards in a bit.

Aside from this, and the 8548 dts-v1 conversion (already sent), I don't
think there were any other to-fix items for the sbc8548, so I won't
spam everyone with those 8548 patches again unless you need me to
rebase them or similar.

Thanks,
Paul.

The PCI exclude device for the sbc85xx boards was only filtering out
the PHB and nothing else. This functionality is no longer required
at a board specific level -- it is handled as a more global quirk now.
