Hi Peter,

It's probably a bug fix that unveils the link errors.

tree: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git master
head: d0acc7dfd90eb97e90ccd42a567034017ec60fb8
commit: 63a3f603413ffe82ad775f2d62a5afff87fd94a0 timeconst.pl: Eliminate Perl warning
date: 3 years, 7 months ago
config: m32r-allnoconfig (attached as .config)
compiler: m32r-linux-gcc (GCC) 4.9.0
reproduce:
        wget https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/wfg/lkp-tests.git/plain/sbin/make.cross -O ~/bin/make.cross
        chmod +x ~/bin/make.cross
        git checkout 63a3f603413ffe82ad775f2d62a5afff87fd94a0
        # save the attached .config to linux build tree
        make.cross ARCH=m32r

All errors (new ones prefixed by >>):

   arch/m32r/kernel/built-in.o: In function `default_eit_handler':
>> (.text+0x51c): undefined reference to `printk'
   arch/m32r/kernel/built-in.o: In function `default_eit_handler':

Sorry m32r looks orphaned and there is no maintainer to CC
such arch related error report..

I'll stop sending old errors on m32r if no one raise concerns.

Yes, its a pity that it has no maintainer. I have tried to contact the
previous maintainer (Hirokazu Takata) but without any success. Even
people at Renesas told me that there is no information regarding this in
their internal wiki/site also.

Please cc me on these errors. I will do whatever is possible to do
without a hardware.

BTW, i have been looking for a board based on m32r arch and have asked
many people for any information, but no luck till now. Please do let me
know if you have any information on how to get a board.

regards
sudip
