I have download the latest cvs version and try to
install it. actually i cant find the configure file on
alsa-driver/ and when i run ./cvscompile it's said
that there is no configure file so i just copy the
configure file from alsa-driver-1.0.7rc2 that i'd
download before.
then i run ./cvscompile it worked but suddenly exit
after this ..:

Probably because the azx driver is so new that system-config-soundcard does
not know about it yet. Once ALSA 1.0.8 is released then I would imagine
there will be a new Fedora RPM available.

If this is a problem for you please file a Fedora bug report.

This one can be closed.

OK, moved to FIXED now.

BTW, 1.0.8rc1 will be released soon.

thank you for your direction. now my sound can work, i can hear sound on
startup and exit..
but i still confuse becouse when i run:
#system-config-soundcards
its still said that "no soundcards were detected"
could you tell me why it could happen?

 rlrevell - 12-21-04 18:10
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Probably because the azx driver is so new that system-config-soundcard does
not know about it yet. Once ALSA 1.0.8 is released then I would imagine
there will be a new Fedora RPM available.

If this is a problem for you please file a Fedora bug report.

This one can be closed.

You cannot use configure from alsa-driver-1.0.7rc2 together with cvs
version. configure is created via cvscompile script. What is exactly the
error message from cvscompile?

I have download the latest cvs version and try to
install it. actually i cant find the configure file on
alsa-driver/ and when i run ./cvscompile it's said
that there is no configure file so i just copy the
configure file from alsa-driver-1.0.7rc2 that i'd
download before.
then i run ./cvscompile it worked but suddenly exit
after this ..:
