All,

In order to make the meeting more effective, I would like to suggest that we use the following status categories to track the status of each feature:

1.	Design (still in design stage)
2.	Design Review (who is reviewing it)
3.	Development (if you can tell the % completed so far, it would be great. If it's too hard, don't bother)
4.	Patch Review (Patch sent out for review)
5.	Done (checked into master)

At the same time, we can certainly talk about blocking issues and any help you would like from the team. Let me know if you have any suggestions or would like to add anything to the Agenda.

Agenda:

- Review Yocto 1.1 M2 schedule and Release Criteria - 20 min (Song)
See details at: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/Yocto_Project_v1.1_Release_Criteria
- Go over Sprint C items - 20 min (Song)
- Opens - 10 min

Other than that the team needs to wade through all scheduled features and tasks to deliver M2, just a few more notes and action items:

The team starts to use the following state for status check on each feature/task:
  - Design
  - Design Review
  - Development/Dev
  - Patch Review
  - Done

The definition of 'done' (we will refine more on this): patch checked into master or target repos.

Kernel version: current plan is to have 3.0 for Yocto 1.1 release. At the same time we do have a backup plan to fall back.

Action Items:
  1. Song to update with a new simpler conference call setup.
  2. Song to update Wiki as usual for new progress.
  3. Bruce to split bug 414, have a plan to complete.
  4. Bug 1007 design is done. Mark to get initial implementation in by the first week of July.
  5. Beth to work on autobuilder and get some builds for QA to test today.

Status Summary:
 - Thanks to the team for sending in status via email, now we have up to date status on the wiki before this meeting.
 - 72 M2 features, 16 Done, 17 Patch Review, 34 Dev/Accept (10 in A/B/C), 1 on-going, 3 Design, 1 Design Review.
 - Half still in development but close to be done. Needs attention to catch up.

Issues
  1. Layer tooling design review: this is done (Richard)
  2. Build Yocto behind firewall - complete, patch review (Joshua/Darren): There will be some improvement in for this in M2, we need additional follow-on item for this one in M3
  3. Item not on schedule: "Time limited kernel' (Bruce) : this is bug 1007, design is done, working on development, making this in M2 is still a bubble.
  4. Liping:
     Image Creator: HOB performance enhancement
Blocked,Liping's code need to wait for Joshua's code to merge first. Risk to slip
  5. running post installs at rootfs gen time, Sprint D: Dexuan has a design but the PRC team has no time for this one: Drop this from the 1.1 schedule but keep it on feature list for post 1.1 action.
  6. Beth: need to discuss a 1.0 release of yocto-autobuilder: No need for this now

Build status: A build out yesterday and there is a QA report this morning. Team will look at the QA report and address bugs uncovered.

Bug Status:
  1. 7 M2 new bugs: Richard (2), Saul (2), Nitin (3)
  2. 3 M2 high bugs:
      * 1134: Saul will give more info to Ke to recreate this.
      * 1099: Song will send Dexuan email on the status of this one
      * 1007: Bruce started development on this one.

Documentation: there is a draft of the Yocto development guide being reviewed. So this is done.

Sprint D (current week) items:
  1. BSP config cleanup : need a follow on item for this in M3
  2. Kernel Tools : move to M3
  3. kernel bloat - development: move to M3
  4. BBMX: done, Darren will open a new bug to track a related issue.
  5. 3G - complete: working on some revision and fixes, needs attention, risk to slip
  6. Enhance the deploy part in remote debug: developer assigned to something else, move to M3

Action Item:

  1. Song: update Google calendar with the new bridge info
  2. Darren: open a new bug to track a BBXM related issue
  3. Bruce: Split bug 414 into multiple ones to work and track separately
  4. Song: send Dexuan note about bug 1099.

No meeting next week due to US holiday on Tuesday

Dave, Paul, Darren, Jeff, Dirk, Richard, Josh, Tom, Koen, Saul, Mark, Denys, Jason, Beth, Song

Action item list:
  * Team: please take a look at the proposed post 1.1 items (yellow in the M3 table, this is a draft, may change) on the wiki page and let Song know if there is any comment or concerns.
  * Saul: talk to Jianjun, QA should work with developers to make sure we can cover more distro testing (informal) before major release. Joshua and Darren volunteers for some of these testing.
  * Song: check status with Jianjun on Stabilization tasks he owned.
  * Darren/Song: define specific deliverables of 'Fast boot time' for M3 and Yocto 1.1.
  * Saul: circulate the idea of having a Sprint B for M3 via emails.
  * Saul: check update commits (one release criteria)

Minutes:

* opens - 5 min
  - Darren: documentation process for release, making sure we can update the README.hardware after release if needed. (no time for this one this time, will put this on next week's agenda)

* Review Yocto 1.1 M2 schedule (Sprint and Stabilize tasks) and Release Criteria - 15 min (Song) See details at: https://wiki.yoctoproject.org/wiki/Yocto_Project_v1.1_Release_Criteria
  - All M2 items are already done.
  - One M2 stabilization item is done, 3 in progress
  - QA does not have resource for N+1 distro testing for every milestone release. But will do that for 1.1 release.
  - Kernel version lock: Linux 3.0 should be released by next week. Yocto 1.1 target is 3.0+, lock in Linux 3.0 now (minimum). Will decide on 3.1 on Aug 15, the beginning of M4.
  - All M2 high bugs now are committed to make M2.
  - There are new bugs from the most recent QA test. Saul will follow up with the team.

* Review M3 feature list, M3 Sprint B? -20 min (Song)
  - Sync qemugl with MeeGo - Implementation: was on the drop list, Edwin feels that he may be able to work on this if BSP work progresses well. We should be clear that BSP development work takes higher priority, if this one does not make 1.1, it is fine. Will keep this one on drop list.
  - 'BSP update/intro': it should be fine without this for Yocto 1.1. Will work on this post 1.1.
  - Fast boot time: it goes hand in hand with image side reduction. Darren will define the specifics for M3/1.1 deliverables.

* Discussion of using Weighted Defect density as one of the release criteria
  - No time at this meeting for this one, will put it on next week's agenda.

* Action Item Review - 5 min (Song)
  1. Song: update Google calendar with the new bridge info (done)
  2. Darren: open a new bug to track a BBXM related issue (done)
  3. Bruce: Split bug 414 into multiple ones to work and track separately (done, bug 1204, also added feature "replace qemuppc' for post 1.1)
  4. Song: send Dexuan note about bug 1099.(done, 1099 is fixed)

Messages to the team:

* Thanks and kudos to the team, Yocto 1.1 has reached feature complete. The team is working on completing the build and bug fixes now. Many have been working really hard to make this happen, especially people working on multi-lib, HOB, kernel works, builds and QA, etc. Thanks to Nitin for completing x32 while his fingers are still hurting :)
* The current plan is to have M3 RC2 build today or tomorrow, then QA will run weekly test on RC2. Will have another build RC3 with critical fixes over the weekend and have QA run full test next week on RC3.

Attendees:
Mark, Paul, Saul, Josh, Jefro, Dave, Scott, Jessica, Tom, Richard, Jason, Song

[-- Attachment #1: Type: text/plain, Size: 3813 bytes --]

Since quite some people will be in the LinuxCon next week, I'm thinking cancelling this occurrence of the meeting. We will be in M4 and the focus is on bug fixing. I don't have any specific agenda items. If any of you has anything to talk about in the meeting, please let me know by EOD tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm going to cancel this meeting.

Thanks,
Song

Since quite some people will be in the LinuxCon next week, I'm thinking cancelling this occurrence of the meeting. We will be in M4 and the focus is on bug fixing. I don't have any specific agenda items. If any of you has anything to talk about in the meeting, please let me know by EOD tomorrow. Otherwise, I'm going to cancel this meeting.

Thanks,
Song
