Hi,

I'm lost with all these mailinglists, but hope someone can help here.

I'm using imx6 devel-board (imx6q-sabresd) Yocto and Weston 1.5. I got the graphics showing and everything working that way just fine.

After getting graphics working I noticed rather annoying feature and that is screensaver. Or I'm not sure if it's screensaver or the power save option.

I have tried editing weston.ini - file. I know it's correct one because if I change panel color it'll change.

I've tried with empty [screensaver] - section, and then I pointed the screensaver to non-existing binary, tried setting duration to 0. Still, the screen goes black after a while. I tried googling, but didn't find any good way of disabling the power save option. Can it be done from weston.ini or does it need code/configuration changes or is that controlled somewhere else totally?

Hi Teemu,

Looking into the Weston sources is the best source of information most of the time. You may be looking for "idle-time" command line argument. Try for example:

"weston --tty=1 --use-gl=1 --device=/dev/fb0 --idle-time=0"

Idle time and screensaver functionalities are explained on the man-pages:

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/wayland/weston/tree/man/weston.man?h=1.5#n113

http://cgit.freedesktop.org/wayland/weston/tree/man/weston.ini.man?h=1.5#n255

I guess that in the future Wayland/Weston specific questions could be better answered on Wayland mailing-list: http://lists.freedesktop.org/mailman/listinfo/wayland-devel
