While compiling Xen3.4 with linux kernel 2.6.18. At the end of build it gives me a warning "WARNING: Package 'fig2dev' is required=     to build Xen documentation" What does that mean? Is that of no harm or it will effect the performance and working of hypervisor in future?

Regards,
Fasiha Ashraf

The fig2dev program needs to be installed for building the
documentation. The functional parts are unaffected.

Compiler (gcc 4.4.3 on this system) throws an incorrect warning on
your recent ea patch.
It may be worth minor adjustments to remove the compile warning.

Yes, this looks good.

This seems to be my fault. I'll try to come up with the right fix.

we have no modules for CPM.
Fix it i could with :

diff --git a/arch/powerpc/sysdev/cpm2_common.c b/arch/powerpc/sysdev/cpm2_common.c

 {
 #ifdef CONFIG_PPC_85xx

I am not sure it is ok.

But i have other 2 warnings (no modules).

It should be fixed, but its highly unlikely you'll see a problem
unless you start trying to build core parts of the CPM code as modules.

Hello!

I have at compile time the following warning:

WARNING: vmlinux.o(.text+0x10f5c): Section mismatch: reference
to .init.text:cpm_muram_init (between 'cpm2_reset' and
'cpm2_smc_clk_setup')

Could it make some problem?

Thanks.

Well, I guess I'll look harder for having done something stupid then ;)

Oh, ok. I guess I'll have to pull it appart some more and figure out why
my system is doing odd things with it, and read some more make docs...

I don't get this... The first thing I do after a beta RH install is
to cvs checkout and build a kernel, so I'd notice something like this,
or else it goes by in the build output so fast I don't catch it :-)

   Which looks like its not pertenant to anything else, at all, anywhere (I
   just grepped the whole source tree for MAKEOVERRIDES ;)

   Can we just take this out?

MAKEOVERRIDES is an internal 'make' variable, it is used even though
it is not explicitly referenced.

When I try to build the current CVS tree, I get a error like

gargleblaster:/usr/src/linux$ make
sed: -e expression #1, char 37: Unknown option to 's'
rm -f include/asm

It seems to be coming from arch/sparc64/Makefile line 23 ,

MAKEOVERRIDES   := $(shell echo "$(MAKEOVERRIDES)" | sed 's CC=$(CC)
CC=$(CC)\\\ -D__KERNEL__\\\ -I$(TOPDIR)/include ')

Which looks like its not pertenant to anything else, at all, anywhere (I
just grepped the whole source tree for MAKEOVERRIDES ;)

Can we just take this out?

Here's the patch, because I know I'm lazy and I'll assume the rest of the
world is too...
