Hi,

I've just detected that the http://www.remword.com/kps_result/ page with
the Kernel Patch Statistics is gone :(

Apparently, the domain name expired 3 days ago, according to the whois
command:

Updated Date: 2016-09-14T20:18:07Z
Creation Date: 2007-09-13T19:07:44Z
Registrar Registration Expiration Date: 2016-09-13T19:07:44Z

For people who don't understand Chinese, this is confirmed by the Google
translation of the page:
https://translate.google.com/translate?sl=zh-CN&tl=en&js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.remword.com%2Fkps_result%2F&edit-text=

According to this page, it might still be possible to renew the
registration. I'm sure there are people here who know the guy who
maintained these very useful pages.

Don't hesitate to jump in and contact the guy if it can help to address
this issue.

Crossing my fingers...

Michael.

Oops, I knew the statistics hadn't been updated in 2016, but not that the
domain had disappeared...

Michael: Is e.g.

    git shortlog -ns v4.8..v4.9-rc3 | head -20 | cat -n

good enough for your purposes?

when I'm talking to journalists I just say "programmer" or something like that.
