Kindly ignore if this mail already has reached your mailbox.!
==================================================
Hi,
I am trying to build "console-image" using OE framework. With *ANGSTROM
distro* and *OMAP5912OSK* as my machine.
I get an error, saying OSError, no such file or directory.
I have pasted the command with its output.
All necessary python modules are installed .
I tried with frequent "git pull" but results are same.
My organization does not permits to use ftp links.
*NOTE: I have installed python2.6 in /opt directory.
and /usr/bin/python points to /opt/python2.6/python2.6*
Kindly help me to rectify this problem.
Thanks,
Nikunj

It dies in process_dir while trying to do os.access I think. my guess
is that you are
passing it host paths like /usr/lib /lib etc which are under root
permissions and can
not be modified by normal user.
You have to debug it. uncomment the
#bb.note("Testing %s for relocatability" % fpath)
in classes/relocatable.bbclass line 28
and check what paths are passed to it when you do
bitbake -b coreutils-native_8.5.bb

huh? How would that supposed to be ok?
Looks like home is leaking into some prefix, no?
We should have a sanity for that one i suppose..
Feb 14 22:25:04 <me> does anybody else see /home in their staging dir or did i goof up somehow?
Feb 14 22:26:24 <me> would be nice if sanity would yell at /root and /home in the staging dir..
where /home == something in BBPATH, without looking into details.

Hi All,
I have found the cause of the problem.
I did a reinstall of Python and YUM few days back.
I was thinking that other software requirements ( texi2info, help2man,
chrpath etc. ) need not to be installed again.
But when I tried reinstalling them also, the error is gone..!!
The strange thing is that bitbake was not reporting himself that this are
the missing modules which it needs prior to running any build..!!
Anyways, Thanks Very Much for your time.

it tells nothing other than it seems that qemu is failing when
generating locales. If you try to parse logs you will help yourself
quite a bit.
OE generates logs in builddir/temp then are called log.<task>.xxxx try
to find errors in them
if you can not at least post them when asking here.
