u-boot is a git clone of the git://gitorious.org/hawkboard/u-boot.git
plz help any idea what needs to be done to fix this .

Mainline u-boot has hawkboard support. Why don't you try building and using
that. Check out the doc/README.hawkboard for the procedure to build and
flash.
