I want try in backtrack4. But i no say install B43.

14e4:4315 is BCM4312.

BackTrack 4 already includes firmware for b43 ot-of-the-box.

The firmware is already installed in bt4 - only the driver needs to be updated.
After doing "make install", do a "make unload", and a "modprobe b43"
to load the updated b43 module.

And please, use the Reply-to-all button when replying to a mailing list.

HI.

For my problem (14e4:4315),I'm download new "BT4" "R1" (2.6.34)

And My Card "Work". (inteface:wlan0     chipset:broadcom     driver:B43-{phy0}
I am testing injection is "work". Very good card, but stop "work" sometimes.


P.S
I have card  Pci :14e4:234b (appleAirport) is very good card  with
good reception.
but i no say for linux. Or are the work if you like it for driver or firmwear.?

Does it stop working only for injection? Or does it also happen in
normal (managed) mode?

What do you see in "dmesg" after card stops working?

I guess you mean 14e4:432b, right? It's not supported N-PHY card.
Larry made great work writing specs but we lack developers to create
driver.

My card no scann in "wicd network-manager" for managed mode


For card is "432b" yes and i am no dev. but thank for your job.

This is known DMA error, we suspect it may be fixed in 2.6.35. Is this
possible for you to update kernel to 2.6.35 version?

system. Please use PIO instead)

For kernel i am try for upgrade "2.6.35"


So iwlist scan : wlan0 (myBcm) No Scann Result.

You can use b43's parameter pio. For example like this:
# rmmod b43
# modprobe b43 pio=1

Or booting with "b43.pio=1" (you can white this in GRUB).

This will increase CPU usage, but should avoid DMA problems. However,
as I mentioned, this this is not needed with 2.6.35 anymore.

using 2.6.35 helps with DMA errors.

behavior is complete unusability immediately beginning with the moment
of the DMA error.

and unload the Broadcom-proprietary "wl" driver before loading b43.

 My card work managed mode with kernel "2.6.35" with :
 "rmmod b43" && "modprobe b43 nohwcrypt=1 pio=1 qos=0"

But how to (backup / edit) the "b43 driver" so that it can always
started without problem.


But my card no working "promisious" mode. stop working after "15 second"
"dmesg" say just "device mon0 entered promiscious mode"
                          "NOHZ : Local_softirq_pending 08"
                          "NOHZ : Local_softirq_pending 08"
