http://docs.ceph.com/docs/master/releases/ says Hammer's estimated
retirement is "November 2016"

Is Hammer EOL now? Should I put "December 2016" for actual retirement?

We are preparing a 0.94.10 point release, which will possibly be the
last. If the retirement month is the month in which the last point
release is published, you could put December 2016 or January 2017.

People keep earmarking issues for hammer backport, so I am getting ready
to do another round of PR testing/merging, after which I will ask
Abhishek if a 0.94.10 should be published.

Does anyone have anything in particular they would like to see in 0.94.10?

Need to have 18187 and 17985 backported.

Hi Yehuda:

> Need to have 18187 and 17985 backported.

Both of those are already staged. I will schedule another round of tests
today.

I see you marked http://tracker.ceph.com/issues/16122 for backport to
hammer. I gave it a try, but it is beyond my capabilities. Depending on
if this backport is a "must-have" or a "nice-to-have", either someone
other than me would have to do it or we could just omit it.

Thanks,
Nathan

If it is not too late, could you please include this PR to your test
branch:

https://github.com/ceph/ceph/pull/12446

I am going to test this myself too, still the more tests the better :-)

That one is included in the integration branch wip-hammer-backports -
see http://tracker.ceph.com/issues/17151#note-28

> I am going to test this myself too, still the more tests the better :-)

I am unable to convince Shaman to build my hammer-based testing branch,
maybe you'll have better luck?

In my case, the build log says:

configure: creating ./config.status
config.status: creating Makefile
config.status: creating scripts/gtest-config
config.status: creating build-aux/config.h
config.status: executing depfiles commands
config.status: executing libtool commands
+ mkdir -p release
+ releasedir=release
+ versionfile=release/version
+ git diff --quiet
+ echo

+ echo '**** REPOSITORY IS DIRTY ****'
**** REPOSITORY IS DIRTY ****

Also, I'm confused about where to push the testing branch. For now I'm
pushing to both ceph/ceph-ci and ceph/ceph.

We'd still want to see it in, so maybe someone else can pick it up.

Thanks,
Yehuda
