Hello,

I am currently working with oFono for a wireless modem on an Embedded Linux.
Things are working okay if the signal strength is quite good. Nevertheless, if I alter
the signal strength by for example removing the antenna, my device often comes
into a strange state:

For debugging I am using mainly "dbus-send" to see the current information about
oFono. Sometimes the device is registered in the network, I have an IP adress and
a fairly good signal strength (40-60). But doing a ping request does not work (no
outgoing traffic),

If I restart oFono manually, everything is working fine again. Is there any known bug
regarding some blocking state changes or something like this? Are there known
limitations using connman and oFono together?

Kind Regards

Which modem are you using?

The modem is a SIMCom 7x00 module connected via USB internally (VendorID 1e0e, DeviceID 9001).

By the way: I am using "ofono v1.30" and "connman v1.37".

Theese are the information I read over DBus:

         string "Manufacturer"
         variant string "QUALCOMM INCORPORATED"

         string "Model"
         variant string "SIMCOM_SIM7600E-H"

Kind Regards

Okay... bit by bit I find out more information.

I removed the antenna a couple of times (~30) to force the modem to lost the connection.
Mounting the antenna again I retrieve a new IP address from the cellphone company.
oFono is showing the information in the log and the settings of the network interface is
updated (checked with "ip addr").

But occasionally (in case of failing ping), the address is shown but not applied to the
interface. Therefore I wonder if it is really a oFono problem...

Kind Regards.
