Hello,

Sorry if this is too basic, but, running into Fetcher verification failure (
www.example.com)
My Internet is functional (wget, ping, and importing page through python
all work).

ERROR: OE-core's config sanity checker detected a potential
misconfiguration.
Either fix the cause of this error or at your own risk disable the
checker (see sanity.conf).
Following is the list of potential problems / advisories:

Fetcher failure for URL: 'https://www.example.com/'. URL
https://www.example.com/ doesn't work. Please ensure your network is
configured correctly.

Could someone kindly point me to a solution or resource to resolve this?

Thank you,

Carl

Try doing wget https://www.example.com/ in a terminal, as that's basically
what the test is checking works. If that breaks then fix that, if it works
then you've presumably got proxies that need to be configured in your
local.conf.
