I added some of the more general thinking about mission and directives
that I have been chewing on for the last few months.

I don't want to sound like a broken record, but I really don't want to
get to attached to the idea of a foundation until we have had a chance
to sit down with the folks at Red Hat. There are some really great
minds there that have been thinking about these issues far longer than
I have.

People like Jim Jagielski, Brian Stevens, Michael Tiemann, and many
others are bound to have years of experience that can help us make the
best decisions for the Ceph community. I'm really looking forward to
exploring this topic with them as they have been very welcoming so
far.

If anyone has any questions or would like to discuss the existing
thinking around foundation please feel free to poke my in IRC
(scuttlemonkey). While I obviously don't have answers, I can at least
give you my take on the lay of the land so you'll know at least 1/2 of
the pending discussion.

Best Regards,

Patrick McGarry
