Provided that enough PCIe ports are available, along with sufficient memory and CPU, is there any limit to the number of radios that can be supported by ath9k and mac80211? Are there any design bottlenecks in the software that would be problematic in the context of a system with 100s of ath9k radio modules from being active simultaneously?

Hi Galen!
What you trying to build? This is a military or intelligence project? :)
Such crazy platform should be expensive, thousands of USD I think.

Regards,
Alex.

I've already looked at the costs - thankfully AR9003 radio modules are not very expensive. I'm also aware of the various RF considerations with all those radios co-located.

If you or anybody wants to discuss my goals in more detail, please contact me off-list. I'd be happy to share with you more, but I don't want to get too far off-topic on the mailing list.

Back to the question: anybody have thoughts on potential design limitations?
