Help required in Bluez manual installation

Hi,

I have installed Bluez 4.98 from Synaptic.

When I download the code for Blue 4.101 and installed in my machine, nothing is working.

I have replaced 'bluetoothd' and 'libbluetooth.so.3.xx' libraries.
Are there any other files , that I need to overwrite with the existing ones.

Can anyone suggest me, what and files are mandatory when we compile and code and replacing the libraries.

Please don't ignore my mail, as I am working with Bluez 4.x version. Your valuable suggestions can help me to work with my requirements.
