Hi,

I posted patches on Saturday. But I did not got a msg from Greg
about they being accepted. Yesterday Greg posted that he has
seen all outreachy patches upto now. And if we do not get reply's
for the patches we should resend. So I resent it yesterday.

Please I need a feedback about my patches. I do not know what to
do otherwise. Also the Outreachy contribution time is only 1 month.
And we have to do this 10 patches and 2 patchsets before project
specific task. I need time for that also. Please consider.

Regards,
Veera

What specific patches did you submit that you did not get a response on?
I do not see any, but I might have missed some. What is the message id
or subject lines?

thanks,

Are you sure they went to the mailing list? I looked on the Google
website and I see two discussions involving you yesterday and they both
end with a request to resend the patch.

I do not see any of these patches in my system at all.

I would suggest resending all patches that you have that I have not
applied as I am currently caught up on all pending outreachy patches.

thanks,

Yes. I also checked in Google web interface and I don't see them.
Is this mail address correct: <outreachy-kernel@googlegroups.com>

This email also sent to this mail address. And the reply you and Greg
are giving are also coming from this address.

Please look into matter.

I received this email. You sent it directly to Greg, but I don't see my
name in the recipient list, so I must have gotten it via the mailing list.

Could you just send one patch, and then send a mail asking whether we have
seen the patch?

I looked in the held messages and there wasn't anything from you.

Oh.
Perhaps the issue is I am sending email patches with
 To: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
 CC: outreachy-kernel <outreachy-kernel@googlegroups.com>, others

I do not know but should I send all of them with To: field.

Greg, do you only read outreachy-kernel@googlegroups.com msgs for patch
lookup.

I read whatever shows up in my inbox :)

I am subscribed to the mailing list, odds are things are broken on your
end with your 'git send-email' setup.

good luck!

Sending msgs to outreachy-kernel@googlegroups.com using cc does not
works. If I send as To: it reaches.
Google groups blocks CC msgs I think.
Oh my. I wasted all the time.

I am sending all the patches again.
Please specify these things in Outreachy pages.

Veera

When I received this message it had the mailing list in CC:

Date: Thu, 19 Mar 2020 14:34:15 +0530
From: R Veera Kumar <vkor@vkten.in>
To: Julia Lawall <julia.lawall@inria.fr>
Cc: outreachy-kernel@googlegroups.com
Subject: Re: [Outreachy kernel] Re: I need feedback on my posted patches

I am also sending this message with the mailing list in CC. I think that
the problem is elsewhere.

Also Greg said that he didn't get your messages at all, even though his
address was given explicitly. So I think that the problem is somewhere
else.

Nevertheless, it seems to be solved. So just do for your other patches
what you did for this one.

Thanks Greg!

It was definitely broken git send-email setup.
I use msmtp instead of esmtp. Which was wrongly set up.
Direct git send-email was not working as my SMTP server
does not supports STARTTLS, but only TLS REQUIRED PORT:465.
Esmtp also only supports STARTTLS not TLS REQUIRED.

git send-email should be made to support that.
Or may be I am wrong, as it did not worked in my server.

git send-email works with msmtp just fine, that is how I use it.
