Hello,

https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-media/msg97580.html

is there any news for the Terratec CINERGY T/C Stick?

Is there a chance it will work on Linux?

Hello,

Is it possible to get the DVB tuner MAX3543 to work in the current kernel?

https://www.maximintegrated.com/en/products/comms/wireless-rf/MAX3543.html

There were drivers for the 3.0.0 and 3.2.0 kernels

https://github.com/ambrosa/DVB-Realtek-RTL2832U-2.2.2-10tuner-mod_kernel-3.0.0

Unfortunately, I have no experience with driver programming.

I can test with 2 USB devices with MAX3543 RTL2840 RTL2832P X7251M50 inside

Ingo

I think it is a RTL2832 (T demod + usb bridge) + a RTL2840 (C demod)
combo. The rtl2832 driver code is there but there is no rtl3240 code.

Open the device take some pictures and tell us what chips are inside. It
might be easy to add support.

0x5103 is not in the list:
<https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/master/drivers/media/dvb-core/dvb-usb-ids.h>
It's likely not supported.
You can try to find a separate driver.
You can try to figure out the chipset and load a driver if one already exists.
You'll have to alter the drivers product id so the kernel will be able to use
the driver with your device.

You may want to watch this video:
<https://archive.fosdem.org/2014/schedule/event/making_the_linux_kernel_better/>

Or you throw that stick out the window....

Hi!
I bought such a stick to build a linux driven video recorder.
But the stick istn't recognized by the kernel

uname -a
Linux ESPRIMO 4.2.0-27-generic #32-Ubuntu SMP Fri Jan 22 04:49:08 UTC

I compiled the media_build successfully, but nothing changed.

I dind't find the ID anywhere in the net... ;-(

Any idea what to try next?
Thanks!
Lorenz
