Hi Ralph,

are you actually using Reiser4 ?

the following tools might be helpful in observing reiser4 during its work:

iotop
htop
atop
...

that way you'll see that (I might err) txnmgr is doing its job during
transactions / i/o stuff

Hi Mat,

thank you for the tips watching reiser4 action live. But

I'm currently not using reiser4, because I recently change my linux distribution to a more kde4 supporting one. I have used reiser4 over half a year with gentoo: I head no problems! And performance was great, but it must be said the partition was never above 50 % charged with data.

And I must tell, I am not a kernel-hacker. But I would be very keen of a reiser4-SDK like thing where you could easily manage to experiment with user-space reiser4-data places. To try to implement new plugins ...
