Hi,

Attached please find a patch against current sound-2.6 master that
fixes audio anomalies and PulseAudio crashing by specifying LPIB
method explicitly. Please apply.

This patch is applicable to all 2.6.3x stable series.

Best,
-Dan

Subject: [PATCH] ALSA: hda: Use LPIB for a Shuttle device

BugLink: https://launchpad.net/bugs/551949

Symptom: On the reporter's Shuttle device, using PulseAudio in Ubuntu
10.04 LTS results in "popping clicking" audio with the PA crashing
shortly thereafter.

Test case: Using Ubuntu 10.04 LTS (Linux 2.6.32.12), Linux 2.6.33, or
Linux 2.6.34, adjust the HDA device's volume with PulseAudio.

Resolution: add SSID for this machine to the position_fix quirk table,
explicitly specifying the LPIB method.

Thanks. Forgot to mention that I already applied and it's now in
2.6.35-rc1.
