There is a patch attached to the BZ report that has been ack'd by a
couple of testers as well as by the original committer. I've been told
that it should go through Eric Anholt instead of Dave Arlie, but Eric
has yet to respond.

I actually haven't been able to reproduce with kernels since a couple
weeks ago (still reproducible if I go back to 2.6.35-rc3, though).
Seems to be fixed somehow, can anyone else confirm?

Just got back to the machine in question. It's gone in 2.6.35-rc6+ (can
we get rid of this stupid '+'?) by
commit 3d695839a135a9b3f24b0d7cfd9c4fde2eadd2c5

Date: Mon Jun 28 20:55:01 2010 -0400
ACPI: handle systems which asynchoronously enable ACPI mode
So you can close the bug entry.
Thanks,

If it works on Fedora, maybe you could get it working with a similar
upstream kernel (same version, same config) and then bisect?

Just updated the bug for this one. Enrico, you say this behavior is
recent. Can you bisect between 2.6.34 and when the problem started?

The bisect stopped between d275f66 and 0f3ee80 so I reverted the
following three commits:
b3b095b drm/i915: enable LVDS on Cougarpoint
d275f66 drm/i915: Clear the LVDS pipe B select bit when moving the LVDS to pipe A.
0f3ee80 drm/i915: Allow LVDS on pipe A on gen4+
Now the powertop only shows about 0.2 interrupts per second. Hope this
information is useful.

Hm that doesn't make much sense. Can you collect register dumps using
intel_reg_dumper between the two cases? I'd expect the LVDS to be on
pipe b after the revert, but maybe before the revert we're leaving pipe
b enabled and getting spurious interrupts?

Another one for you:
