What is the kernel version?
The context is missing...
Who printed the line:
dev_err(dev, "ASoC: Failed to register DAIs: %d\n", ret);

This is only possible if snd_soc_component_initialize() fail, which can
only fail if snd_soc_component_unique_name() fails.
