Hello,
I got the impression that metavariable types are provided for which
the specification of SmPL inheritance might make less sense.
https://gitlab.inria.fr/coccinelle/coccinelle/-/blob/0011af1760e37caada1f9d48e2c549bd519bf203/docs/manual/cocci_syntax.tex#L607

Examples:
* attribute / declarer / iterator name
* typedef
1. How do you think about to clarify and adjust corresponding development concerns?
2. Would you like to improve any error messages?
Regards,
Markus
