You can do:

@@
@@

+ #ifdef FOO
  bar();
+ #endif

but not:

@@
@@

- #ifdef FOO
  bar();
- #endif

You can also do

@@
expression e;
@@

- #define XXX e

or various other things that you may expect to be able to do with #define.
