Hi there,

I've got some issues with my intel integrated graphics on a Thinkpad
X220t. There are "leftovers" of windows gathering on my desktop
background and
other artifacts on random places. Also vaapi support seems broken.

Software Versions (fedora 15):
mesa-dri-drivers.x86_64            7.11-0.11.20110525.0.fc15
xorg-x11-drv-intel.x86_64          2.15.0-3.fc15

# uname -a
Linux brain 2.6.38.8-32.fc15.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Jun 13 19:49:05 UTC 2011
x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

# lspci | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation Device 0126 (rev
09)

# cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep model
model           : 42
model name      : Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2520M CPU @ 2.50GHz

$ vainfo
libva: libva version 0.32.0
libva: va_getDriverName() returns 0
libva: Trying to open /usr/lib64/dri/i965_drv_video.so
libva: va_openDriver() returns -1
vaInitialize failed with error code -1 (unknown libva error),exit

I first feared it could be an hardware error like some memory damage.
But as I couldn't reproduce any problems on windows I suspect driver
problems. On the other hand I don't know any definite way how to
reproduce, so the hw problem is still on my mind - any ideas how I could
figure out if it is a sw or hw problem?

Thank you in advance for any help to resolve my issues,
 Florian Ludwig
