Lieber Freund,

Herr Anderson McEnany

This patchset is part of a global SoC + Module + Board support for the

Patch "mfd: qcom-rpm: Add support for pm8018 RPM Regulator" depends on :
 - "fix offset error for msm8660" at http://lkml.kernel.org/r/1465897725-16213-1-git-send-email-linus.walleij-QSEj5FYQhm4dnm+yROfE0A@public.gmane.org

 - Rename QCOM_RPM_NCP in to QCOM_RPM_PM8018_NCP
 - Rebased qcom-rpm.h PM8018 defines numbers without a gap

Hi

There is a bug in xpad that (as far as I can tell) has a few fixes
implemented, but none are yet included upstream.

Whilst I am no computer scientist or engineer, I understand that the
bug is related to force feedback (vibration) on xpad controllers
causing the system to freeze up and require a hard reset (kernel
panic?)

My apologies if this has been addressed somewhere, but in my kernel
(4.2.0-25-generic #30-Ubuntu) the issue remains, particularly for me
when playing GRID Autosport using an wired Xbox 360 controller.

I've heard that valve have fixed the issue in their steamos kernel.
There is also a patch proposed in May 2014 by Sarah Bessmer
[http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-input/msg31450.html] and an
updated version of the same patch
[http://steamcommunity.com/app/233130/discussions/0/611702631210587760/#c611702631218590990].

As far as reports of the issue, there are two threads on steam with
users reporting Sarah's patch fixes the issue. I myself can also
confirm the patch fixed the bug for me and I haven't noticed any side
effects, although I don't really know what to look for.

In conclusion, you may think of this as somewhat of a "bump" for
Sarah's patch. Whilst I do not consider myself a skilled or
experienced programmer and I've never really looked at lower level
stuff like drivers before, I am willing to help get a fix merged in
any way I can.

Apologies once more, if this is already in progress or I have
approached this in the wrong way,

Regards,

Matt Sturgeon

Hi,

This patch adds comments on interface driver suspend callback
to emphasize that the failure return value is ignored by
USB core in system sleep context, so do not try to recover
device for this case, otherwise the recovery things may confuse
resume().

Also fixes the USB serial, HID and several usbnet drivers
which may recover device in suspend failure path of system sleep.

v2:
	- improve comments on suspend callback as suggested by Alan
	- update kerneldoc for usb_suspend_both as suggested by Alan
	- remove previous check of PMSG_IS_AUTO(message) in cdc_mbim/
qmi_wwan and add comments on suspend failure case, since Bjørn
	doesn't like the check.
	- add comments on smsc95xx/smsc75xx
v1:
        - fix compile failure
        - add comments about handling suspend failure in resume()

Greetings!

I have been waiting for you since to contact me for your Confirmable Bank Draft
of $800,000.00 United States Dollars, but I did not hear from you since that
time. Then I went and deposited the Draft with FedEx Courier Service,West
Africa,

What you have to do now is to contact the FedEx Courier Service as soon as
possible to know when they will deliver your package to you because of the
expiring date. For your information, I have paid for the delivering Charge,
Insurance premium and Clearance Certificate Fees of the Cheque showing that
it is not a Drug Money or meant to sponsor Terrorist attack
in your Country.

The only money you will send to the FedEx Courier Service to deliver your Draft
direct to your postal Address in your country is $85.00 US Dollars only being
Security Keeping Fee of the Courier Company so far. Again, don't be deceived by
anybody to pay any other money except $85.00 US Dollars. I would have paid
that but they said no because they don't know when you will contact them and in
case of demurrage. You have to contact the FedEx Courier Service now for the
delivery of your Draft with this information bellow;

Mr Terry William
Tel: 00917838266917

Finally, make sure that you reconfirm your name, address, occupation and
telephone number to them again to avoid any mistake on the Delivery and ask
them to give you the tracking number to enable you track your package over
there and know when it will get to your address. Let me repeat again, try to
contact them as soon as you receive this mail to avoid any further delay and
remember to pay them their Security Keeping fee of $85.00 US Dollars for their
immediate action. You should also let me know through email as soon as you

receive your Draft.

Yours Faithfully,
Mrs Joaana Benz

Subject: [PATCH 0/9 v2] IR: few fixes, additions and ENE driver

Hi,
This is second version of the patchset.
Hopefully, I didn't forget to address all comments.

In addition to comments, I changed helper function that processes samples
so it sends last space as soon as timeout is reached.
This breaks somewhat lirc, because now it gets 2 spaces in row.
However, if it uses timeout reports (which are now fully supported)
it will get such report in middle.

Note that I send timeout report with zero value.
I don't think that this value is importaint.

This patch Adds Keypad support on OMAP4.And adds
OMAP4 register addresses and configures them for OMAP4.

This patch has been updated as per the comments received from
Trilok Soni to remove GPIO based omap2 keypad logic from omap_keypad.c
(http://www.mail-archive.com/linux-omap@vger.kernel.org/msg14570.html)
Matrix_keypad.c (gpio based keypad driver) can be used in OMAP2,
which is not tested on OMAP2 since unavailability of omap2 target's.

Hi,

I have been trying to enable force feedback with my MS SideWinder FF2 for a while. My Linux system is a Xubuntu 8.04 (kernel 2.26) After a lot of problems, I have made some progress. First I figured out I had to recompile the kernel with options to activate the force feedback support (PID Force feedback). Sorry, I suppose it was obvious for you.

Then I tested my Sidewinder with ff-utils and geforce-0.3. I could get pretty convincing force effects but only once: after the 1st effect is finished, if I ask for another one, the system freezes and I have to reboot. This is a reproducible process.

I do not know whether I made some mistake during the compilation of the kernell (I have no sound and no wifi with this kernel) or if this is a normal behaviour considering that the Sidewinder FF2 support is experimental. I think it is not far from working since the force effects seem good to me

I have another computer with Vista and I installed fedit (to generate force feedback effects) and SniffUsb 2.0 to monitor the USB communications between the joystick and the computer. Maybe this could help someone using my logs to improve the current driver?

Many thanks

http://yokm.effers.com/celeb/
