* [PATCH] scripts/kernel-doc: added support for html5
@ 2012-08-12  8:46 Dan Luedtke

From: Dan Luedtke @ 2012-08-12 8:46 UTC (permalink / raw)
  To: mmarek; +Cc: linux-kbuild, mail, rdunlap

New output option html5 writes validating HTML5 and adds
CSS classes ready to be selected by third-party stylesheets.
HTML ids have been added to block-level elements "article" for
direct reference of particular objects via URL.

Patch got first submitted split up in multiple patches at
Wed, 25 Jul 2012 15:38:08 +0200 on LKML. Due to bad timing
(in the middle of Randy Dunlop dropping maintainership) and
maybe all of us are going on vacation in different weeks, the
patch had no chance to make it through. Randy suggested to
resend the patch and kindly acked-by it already.
Thank you for your patience and help.

Examples of what the patch can be used for:

DOC
https://www.nonattached.net/lanyfs/doc-linux.php#icache.c

struct
https://www.nonattached.net/lanyfs/doc-linux.php#struct%3alanyfs_fsi

function()
https://www.nonattached.net/lanyfs/doc-linux.php#func%3alanyfs_release

typedef
https://www.nonattached.net/lanyfs/doc-linux.php#typedef%3alanyfs_blk_t

enum
https://www.nonattached.net/lanyfs/doc-fsutils.php#enum%3amklanyfs_time

Examples use CSS like this:
> article.doc,
> article.enum,
> [...]
> article.function {
>	margin-bottom: 50px;
> }
> /* markup */
> span.keyword {
>	font-weight: bold;
>	color: #000;
> }
> span.type {
> 	font-weight: normal;
>	color: #284689;

I applied it to kbuild.git#misc now, thanks.
