Subject: [PATCH 2/4] spi: jcore: Fix module autoload for OF registration
Date: Wed, 23 Nov 2016 13:37:09 -0300	[thread overview]
Message-ID: <1479919031-5112-3-git-send-email-javier@osg.samsung.com> (raw)
In-Reply-To: <1479919031-5112-1-git-send-email-javier@osg.samsung.com>

If the driver is built as a module, autoload won't work because the module
alias information is not filled. So user-space can't match the registered
device with the corresponding module.

Export the module alias information using the MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE() macro.

Before this patch:

$ modinfo drivers/spi/spi-jcore.ko | grep alias
alias:          platform:jcore_spi

After this patch:

$ modinfo drivers/spi/spi-jcore.ko | grep alias
alias:          platform:jcore_spi
alias:          of:N*T*Cjcore,spi2C*
alias:          of:N*T*Cjcore,spi2
