It's generally agreed that subscribers-only mailing lists shouldn't be 
listed in MAINTAINERS (since it's impossible to send a simple Cc to such 
a list).

What about marking the mailing-list as subscriber-only instead of
removing information ?

This MAINTAINERS entry still contain the link to the web page - and from 
there the information about the mailing list is easily available.

It would still be far better to just add "  (subscriber only)" on the
end of the list name line
