This has a number of architecture updates (mips, arm, ppc, x86-64, ia64),
and updates ACPI, DRI, ALSA, SCSI, XFS and InfiniNand.. And a lot of small
one-liners all over.
I'd _really_ like to calm down for a final 2.6.11 now, so please note
anything really important I missed, but keep the rest pending. And give
this a good testing..
Oh, and the automated bitkeeper mirroring to bkbits.net seems slightly
broken right now (hasn't updated in the last 48 hours), but the tar-balls
are all there, and the BK upating mechanism will hopefully be fixed soon.
(I've got a few BK trees in private places, it's only the public
bkbits.net one that hasn't gotten mirrored out yet - many other BK
developers will know where to find my secondary trees and can pull from
them instead).

My TV card (Pinnacle PCTV Studio/Rave) stopped working due to these
updates. I get no signal anymore. Rebooting into an older kernel does
not stop the problem immediately. I actually have to power down the
machine and then boot into 2.6.11-rc2 to make my TV card functioning
again.
Here is the relevant dmesg part:

Can you please load tuner.o with debug=1, tda9887.o with debug=2 and
mail me the logs for driver load + attempt to tune some station for
both working and non-working kernel please?
Thanks,
Gerd

Thanks, seems to be a initialization order bug which changes the default
state of the tda9887 output ports. The patch below should fix that.

Hello,
I am having the same kind of troubles (can't tune and mt_set_frequency
-121 errors) since 2.6.10 (it was working in 2.6.9) on amd64.
this patch did not help sadely.
log files attached if you have time to look at them :) (the non-working
one being 2.6.11-rc3+your patch)
Cheers,
Mik
