Hi. I have 4 outputs from a 2.4.19-pre1-aa1 kernel. The first, happened while donwloading a file with X && a screensaver
The rest happened while displaying a mpeg video with xine, the three at the same time.

ksymoops 2.4.3 on i686 2.4.19pre1aa1. Options used
     -V (default)
     -k /proc/ksyms (default)
     -l /proc/modules (default)
     -o /lib/modules/2.4.19pre1/ (default)
     -m /boot/System.map-2.4.19pre1 (default)

Warning: You did not tell me where to find symbol information. I will
assume that the log matches the kernel and modules that are running
right now and I'll use the default options above for symbol resolution.
If the current kernel and/or modules do not match the log, you can get
more accurate output by telling me the kernel version and where to find
map, modules, ksyms etc. ksymoops -h explains the options.

Another X hangup today, after leaving the machine with screensaver -just as the first report of my previous message-
In the screen there is the image of the screensaver stopped.
Same modules, same 2.4.19-pre1aa1 kernel.

Never seen this one and I changed nothing in select and af_unix. can you
send me the output of objdump -d fs/select.o too so I can find exactly
which line of C code is oopsing? (make fs/select.lst and sending me
select.lst would be fine too)

Did it ever happened to you on older kernels or with different X server?
I guess the hardware, X or some driver is giving you problems, I doubt
the problem is really in the poll afunix path.
