Of course, that should have been 2.6.1-rc1-mm1.

I've sent this fix to David Miller, please don't apply any other "fix":

Let's not drag Dave out of bed. :)
Here's the explanation (and a fix) from Bart De Schuymer.

Hi Dave,

I forgot to get rid of another ifdef in netfilter_bridge.h when I removed
the dependency upon vlan being compiled. This patch fixes it.

cheers,

Argh, I missed a bonding build fix, and warning fix... Plus rediffed
against 2.6.0-rc1:

Have another big batch from Al Viro pending, with yet-more fixes from
his audits...

Just a tiny correction - this patch is for the trident OSS sound
driver, not the trident fbdev driver.

Could you try a make oldconfig? CONFIG_8139_RXBUF_IDX is a new
configuration option in -mm1.

(Though it should have run solely on the basis of Makefile dependencies.
Weird...)

Again, available via Bitkeeper at <bk://smurf.bkbits.net/linux-2.6-mm>.

If you use this tree, please consider dropping me a note or whatever;
I don't like to work in a vacuum...

The way I've built this, in case anybody's curious:
- undo all the changes in 2.6.0-mm2 but not in 2.6.1-rc1-mm1.
- merge with 2.6.1-rc1, resolved nine conflicts.
- Apply all patches in 2.6.1-rc1-mm2 but not in 2.6.0-mm2.
Some didn't apply fully, for whatever reason.
- Generate a diff between 2.6.1-rc1 and top-of-tree.
Use interdiff -p1 to compare that to Andrew's official patch.
(There were none, which was somewhat surprising.)

Oh yes, I've stopped prefixing the patch tags with mm[12]; that would get
too confusing in the long run.

... except that it's not working because of some non-cleaned-up merge
problems. (Larry made some noise about a better "bk cset -x" tool which
probably could have prevented this.)

I don't know what either interdiff or bitkeeper were smoking when I
checked the completeness of this tree. :-/

I'm working on it.

This is a logical analogy too... anyone who's been around, knows the world is
run by paenguins. Always a paenguin behind the curtain, really getting things
done. And paenguins in politics--who can deny it?

It is time the clergy are told that thinking men, after a close
examination of that doctrine [Christianity], pronounce it to be
subversive of true moral development and, therefore, positively noxious.
