pc hangs after cdrdao read-toc icotl on ATAPI 

after performing cdrdao read-toc --driver generic-mmc --device /dev/hdd test.toc (as root) the pc hangs (not the case with 2.4.22)

hi,

I found the problem : setting of hdparm in startup scripts.
with normal configuration (no hdparm) the problem does not occure.
Due to an update of hdparm (gentoo) the settings

-d1 -c3 -X  udma2 -M 245

where applied to all the devices, including the two CD-roms, which was not the intention.
After removing the -X udma2 setting for the CD-rom's all went fine again.

So actually this was not a bug.
