Hi all,

Changes since 20100630:

The tip tree lost a conflict.

The driver-core tree gained a conflict agains the jdelvare-hwmon tree.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have created today's linux-next tree at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git
(patches at http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v2.6/next/ ). If you
are tracking the linux-next tree using git, you should not use "git pull"
to do so as that will try to merge the new linux-next release with the
old one. You should use "git fetch" as mentioned in the FAQ on the wiki
(see below).

You can see which trees have been included by looking in the Next/Trees
file in the source. There are also quilt-import.log and merge.log files
in the Next directory. Between each merge, the tree was built with
a ppc64_defconfig for powerpc and an allmodconfig for x86_64. After the
final fixups (if any), it is also built with powerpc allnoconfig (32 and
64 bit), ppc44x_defconfig and allyesconfig (minus
CONFIG_PROFILE_ALL_BRANCHES - this fails its final link) and i386, sparc
and sparc64 defconfig. These builds also have
CONFIG_ENABLE_WARN_DEPRECATED, CONFIG_ENABLE_MUST_CHECK and
CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO disabled when necessary.

Below is a summary of the state of the merge.

We are up to 164 trees (counting Linus' and 22 trees of patches pending
for Linus' tree), more are welcome (even if they are currently empty).
Thanks to those who have contributed, and to those who haven't, please do.

Status of my local build tests will be at
http://kisskb.ellerman.id.au/linux-next . If maintainers want to give
advice about cross compilers/configs that work, we are always open to add
more builds.

Thanks to Jan Dittmer for adding the linux-next tree to his build tests
at http://l4x.org/k/ , the guys at http://test.kernel.org/ and Randy
Dunlap for doing many randconfig builds.

There is a wiki covering stuff to do with linux-next at
http://linux.f-seidel.de/linux-next/pmwiki/ . Thanks to Frank Seidel.

Oops, I will fix that up.

From: Randy Dunlap <randy.dunlap@oracle.com>

Several solo drivers need <linux/delay.h>, so add it to the
private solo6010.h header file.

drivers/staging/solo6x10/solo6010-core.c:191: error: implicit declaration of function 'mdelay'
drivers/staging/solo6x10/solo6010-tw28.c:181: error: implicit declaration of function 'msleep_interruptible'
drivers/staging/solo6x10/solo6010-gpio.c:78: error: implicit declaration of function 'udelay'
drivers/staging/solo6x10/solo6010-v4l2-enc.c:254: error: implicit declaration of function 'mdelay'

[-- Attachment #1: Type: text/plain, Size: 35171 bytes --]

Hi all,

Changes since 20120629:

The vfs tree gained a conflict against the nfs tree.

The hid tree lost its build failure and conflict.

The libata tree gained a build failure for which I applied a merge fix
patch.

The isci tree gained a conflict against the libata tree.

The slave-dma tree gained a conflict against the arm tree.

The wireless tree lost its conflict.

The sound-asoc tree lost its build failure.

The trivial tree lost its conflict.

The tip tree lost a conflict.

The pwm tree still has its build failure which I have left broken for now.

The signal tree gained a conflict against Linus' tree.

The akpm tree gained a conflict against Linus' tree.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have created today's linux-next tree at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/next/linux-next.git
(patches at http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/next/ ). If you
are tracking the linux-next tree using git, you should not use "git pull"
to do so as that will try to merge the new linux-next release with the

CONFIG_PROFILE_ALL_BRANCHES - this fails its final link) and i386, sparc,
sparc64 and arm defconfig. These builds also have
CONFIG_ENABLE_WARN_DEPRECATED, CONFIG_ENABLE_MUST_CHECK and
CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO disabled when necessary.

Below is a summary of the state of the merge.

We are up to 192 trees (counting Linus' and 26 trees of patches pending
for Linus' tree), more are welcome (even if they are currently empty).
Thanks to those who have contributed, and to those who haven't, please do.

Status of my local build tests will be at
http://kisskb.ellerman.id.au/linux-next . If maintainers want to give
advice about cross compilers/configs that work, we are always open to add
more builds.

Thanks to Randy Dunlap for doing many randconfig builds. And to Paul
Gortmaker for triage and bug fixes.

There is a wiki covering stuff to do with linux-next at
http://linux.f-seidel.de/linux-next/pmwiki/ . Thanks to Frank Seidel.

Hi all,

Changes since 20090701:

Dropped tree: sfi (build problems)

This tree fails to build for powerpc allyesconfig.

The pci tree lost its conflicts and build failure.

The kvm tree lost its conflict.

The block tree lost its conflict.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have created today's linux-next tree at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sfr/linux-next.git
(patches at
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/sfr/linux-next/). If you
are tracking the linux-next tree using git, you should not use "git pull"
to do so as that will try to merge the new linux-next release with the

CONFIG_PROFILE_ALL_BRANCHES) and i386, sparc and sparc64 defconfig.
These builds also have CONFIG_ENABLE_WARN_DEPRECATED,
CONFIG_ENABLE_MUST_CHECK and CONFIG_DEBUG_INFO disabled when necessary.

Below is a summary of the state of the merge.

We are up to 132 trees (counting Linus' and 19 trees of patches pending for
Linus' tree), more are welcome (even if they are currently empty).

Hi all,

Whose will be the 100th tree? :-)

Yesterday's tree was tagged correctly, but had a localversion file with
the wrong version in it. Sorry about that - I have fixed my scripts so
that it won't happen again.

Changes since next-20080701:

Alan presented the ttydev patch series based on next-20080701 so I could
not do my usual import and merge, so I have applied it directly at the
end of the tree. It applied without errors, but required three build
fixup patches.

I have also applied the following patches for known problems (I assume
that these will be merged into their appropriate trees shortly):

module: fix NULL pointer dereference in find_symbol()
NFS: Fix the mount protocol defaults for binary mounts
fix "ftrace: store mcount address in rec->ip"

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have created today's linux-next tree at
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/sfr/linux-next.git
(patches at
http://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/people/sfr/linux-next/). If you
are tracking the linux-next tree using git, you should not use "git pull"
to do so as that will try to merge the new linux-next release with the

After the
final fixups, it is also built with powerpc allnoconfig,
44x_defconfig and allyesconfig and i386, sparc and sparc64 defconfig.

Below is a summary of the state of the merge.

We are up to 99 trees (counting Linus' and 14 trees of patches pending for
Linus' tree), more are welcome (even if they are currently empty).
Thanks to those who have contributed, and to those who haven't, please do.

Status of my local build tests will be at
http://kisskb.ellerman.id.au/linux-next . If maintainers want to give

Thanks to Jan Dittmer for adding the linux-next tree to his build tests
