Yes. You need to load aic7xxx.o, the SCSI driver. in /etc/modules.conf
you need:
alias scsi_hostadapter scsi_mod
alias scsi_hostadapter sd_mod
alias scsi_hostadapter aic7xxx
alias block-major-8 sd_mod
alias block-major-11 sr_mod
alias char-major-9 st
That should get your SCSI stuff running including tape and CDROM.

Since you seem to have enabled the EISA/VLB probe in your config,
I don't know why your controller is not probed.

Hi,
I have an oldie Pentium 66 box which was running OS/2
for a very long time. Probably the last OS/2 box in our town :)
I want to convert it into backup web server.
The problem is that it does not see its disks when I boot Linux.
Currently I'm running it in NFS root mode, but 16MB RAM is not
much fun without swap :(
I'd like to stick printks here and there in driver source,
thought you may have some advice.
In particular, is this relevant?

Can you send me the chip markings on your controller as well as any
information that it affixed to the controller board (Stickers with
model numbers, etc)?

This board is not very big.

Second big chip has a rather uninformative sticker with letters "PD2U"
slapped on so I can't see what is printed on chip :(
This text is printed on the back side of the board:

There is a barcode printed on a side, do you need it? :)
Also I see at least 3 SCSI connectors. One on a side, accessible
from the rear of the box when board sits in EISA slot.
Two connectors are on the top side (opposite to EISA bus connector).
And I see something like 2 more SCSI connectors right
on the board surface.
This box is accompanied with configuration diskettes, I'll send 'em
to you off-list.
