I Cannot use video1394 module to send DV to my camcorder.

I am attempting to do DV-ediiting under Linux. Capture, Edit work OK but 
trying to get it back to my camera persistently fails. I get the following 
message from both Kino 0.51 and MainConcept's madvout programs:
