hmmm ... you should be able to provoke it by enabling ARM_LPAE,
which selects PHYS_ADDR_T_64BIT, and

config ARCH_DMA_ADDR_T_64BIT
        def_bool 64BIT || PHYS_ADDR_T_64BIT
