Hello RT Folks!

I'm pleased to announce the 5.10.83-rt58 stable release.

This release is just an update to the new stable 5.10.83
version and no RT specific changes have been made.

You can get this release via the git tree at:

  git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/rt/linux-stable-rt.git

  branch: v5.10-rt
  Head SHA1: 63bd813e523a6e08bb4bb04b71903d252cbcae80

Or to build 5.10.83-rt58 directly, the following patches should be applied:

  https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/linux-5.10.tar.xz

  https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v5.x/patch-5.10.83.xz

  https://www.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/projects/rt/5.10/patch-5.10.83-rt58.patch.xz

Enjoy!
Luis

Thanks for releasing rt58 on linux-5.10.

I assume you signed the

?

Where can I get your RSA publickey

Any particular reason why every patch has "v4.9-rt" in the Subject line?

I'm guessing because he just took over 5.10-rt and did not update his
scripts ;-)

It shouldn't. The point I'm making is that this is Luis's first release of
5.10-rt, and it sounds like it had some issues.

Luis, you may want to see what happened and fix it.

Thanks,

Yes, I am really sorry that escaped my review. I focused on testing
the code and missed something that obvious.

Sorry for the confusion I caused.

Steven, Sebastian, would it be worth a v5.10.83-rt59 with the patch
subjects fixed?

Thanks for spotting that,
Luis

Thank you. CIP project started doing 5.10.X based releases, and we
include -rt tree, too. To make my job tiny bit easier, would it be
possible to CC: pavel@denx.de on release announcemnts?

Tree is available at
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/cip/linux-cip.git/log/?h=linux-5.10.y-cip-rt
.

What may be more interesting is that we are running tests over at
gitlab:

https://gitlab.com/cip-project/cip-kernel/linux-cip/tree/linux-5.10.y-cip-rt

Thanks and best regards,

No, I don't think that it is worth it. Please correct it for the next
release.
I'm not sure if there is a need for the base version in the patch tag.

Thank you! I will fix that for the next release.

I am adding you to the list of default recipients for the announce
emails. Would you like to receive notifications for the (RT-specific)
RC releases too? We use the RC release as a staging area to review
RT-only patches, either backported from newer RT kernels or fixing
bugs specific to that version.

Anybody else interested in receiving such notifications, please let me know!

Best regards,
Luis
