Hi, I'm using xen project v 4.13.0 and I have to cross compile it for arm 64. I tried the complete compiling process with success but when I try to cross compile it returns errors in the tools compiling process.
I also tried to cross compile only the hypervisor and it's ok:
> ./configure
> make dist-xen XEN_TARGET_ARCH=arm64 CROSS_COMPILE= /path/

but with make dist XEN_TARGET_ARCH=arm64 CROSS_COMPILE= /path/
it returns errors related to libraries in tools module. So I would like to ask if there is something I just do wrong or it's not possible to cross compile the whole xen project. I'm sorry I'm at the beginning with xen cross compile.

it happens sporadically sometimes 1 time/5 minutes sometimes 1 time/10 minutes.
I think in windows it sometimes drops frames it also happens there and
can be seen with VLC
maybe some codecs also compensate it a little bit. There's no generic
rule about this the xc5000
overdrives the videodecoder (it's not empia related issue actually
moreover conexant/xceive)

conexant cx25843 - xceive xc5000 failure (as what I've heard conexant
laid off people in that area years ago while xceive (see their driver
changelog if you have access to it) tried to fix it with their
firmware but didn't succeed), it also happens with windows. Those
screenshots are taken from a videoclip
it was of course a big problem for business customers (almost all of
them happily switched away from it)
This is the same retail hardware as everyone else uses out there. XS
FM is not being sold anymore.
I only know one company in Ireland still sticking with it, also in
terms of videoquality I'd avoid that combination.

Interesting.  If it cannot be fixed with the driver, how does the
Windows driver work then?  Is this some sort of premature hardware
failure that occurs (after which point it is irreversible)?

Terratec sent me two boards:  0ccd:0072 and 0ccd:0043.  I've actually
been working with a user on the #linuxtv irc channel who is in the
process of getting the 0ccd:0072 board to work (username Prahal).
He's making great progress, but if he gets stuck I will find some
cycles to work through whatever problem he finds.

Hello

I would like to install a linux operating system on my RM600E (Siemens).

I downloaded a linux debian distribution for mips processor, but I have some
problems to start the installation from CDROM, I can't put from CDROM
because i get the following error.

this is the command

boot2: bot -f cd(0,0,10)path_for_image_file

the system cannot start the CDROM.

I'm gonna put together a page with a bunch of info (and hopefully keep it
up to date). Basically I'd like to make a somewhat constant site which will
keep track of things pertaining to the ppc side of linux. flaws/advantages
of kernels, statusdifferent projects. for example, alot of people are
having trouble with Xfree and kernels, a clear description of the issue
would aid everyone I'm sure. also, keeping links to where things can be
gotten, where there are sites for downloading ppc.rpms (for example, unless
you dig through miles of old mail it might be hard to find the
enlightenment for linuxppc page, I'd like to keep track of specialty things
such as this. ) Linuxppc.org does this to some degree, but isnt for this
purpose, and therefore doesnt really cater to people who want to know more
about whats going on, nor to the total novice. I'd like to make an archive
of Xf86 config files, bootvars, kernel configs, etc. all that stuff. So,
this is somewhat of a request toboth the dev and the user sides of the
lists. if the dev people could send me updates on where things stand, and
users with what they want and with any tips or questions that they think
people might want to know etc. I suppose Im looking for anything that
people think would be useful. links/info/news etc. personal experiences
anything pertaining to linux on ppc. anyhow, I'll put something up that has
not much on it but it will be there and will grow with whatever people want
to contrib.
