Checked. Unless I'm mistaken, msm8996.dtsi doesn't use #clock-cells in 
root QMP PHY nodes.

Checked. Unless I'm mistaken, msm8996.dtsi doesn't use #clock-cells in 
root QMP PHY nodes.
