I am not sure to understand this. kvmtools knows the memory layout 
(including MMIOs) of the guest, so couldn't it guess the maximum 
physical shift for that?

I am not sure to understand this. kvmtools knows the memory layout

I am not sure to understand this. kvmtools knows the memory layout
