As I asked for in your bugzilla.kernel.org filing, what does the kernel
log showing? Is there lots of USB activity? Are there any USB devices
plugged into the system? Does this also happen for 2.4? Are you using
ACPI? (I can go on, but that's a good start. You need to provide a
much better bug report than this...)

But is ACPI configured in your kernel?

Try reading the REPORTING-BUGS file in the main directory of the kernel
source code for more information on useful things to send.

Does this same problem happen without the nvidia driver loaded?

I do not know, but if you do not need it, it should not be selected.

I checked the config and ACPI was configured.. Now compiling without ACPI. Is
that the reason? I think it was selected by default.

boot up without starting X. Add 3 to your kernel command line or change
default runlevel in /etc/inittab to 3 not 5 (you can change it back
later). removing it wont help, you need a clean start without it loaded.

basically if I compile a new kernel It's always without the nvidia stuff
right? So I'll check it like that..

Again, can you do this without the nvidia driver? With it installed, no
one here will be able to help you out.

And I didn't see anything unusual in your kernel logs either. Does the
USB keyboard work ok?

thanks,

O.k I recompiled my kernel with usb debugging enabled And I got an alot bigger
dmesg :) Also Is there some easy way to list the options I compiled the
kernel with?

anyway here's the dmesg. It's big and I probably wouldn't have to post it all
but what the heck!
