On 8xx, breakpoints stop after executing the instruction, so
stepping/emulation is not needed. Move it into a sub-function and
remove the #ifdefs.

Didn't you use arch/powerpc/tools/checkpatch.sh ?
powerpc accepts 90 chars per line.
