It's not part of the ASL grammar, and iASL does not support it.

More than that, this requires interpreter support to execute this type
of orphan code during table load.

I'm sure this is something that will eventually be requested as a
workaround.

In the meantime, all such code like this should be moved under the
_SB_._INI method.

Sorry, but I'm not able to find any method with that name (_SB_._INI).
Could you be so gentle to help me on how resolve that problem.
Any hint will be very appreciated.

Why? Perhaps it conflicts with asus_acpi module ?
However that you say is true, now I can see events from cat /proc/acpi/event
But I still don't understand why.

Sorry, I'm not sure on how to test that, where I can read about that ?

Many thanks.

kill acpid can solve the "Device or resource busy" issue.

Please post dmesg to let me check if ACPI interpreter
is good enough to catch the possible DSDT fault.

To verify if there are any other issues, you need
to verfy kernel works well on this laptop, such
as power off work, battery work, suspend/resume work,
thermal zone work, C-state, P-state work,...

Thanks
Luming

that's one, I think.
No others one I can note from:
# less /var/log/acpid
# grep -i acpi /var/log/kern.log

Some other investigations?

I whish submit that dsdt because isn't listed, but I don't know if that is a
good dsdt or not.

I hesitate to ask you , but would you tell me what kind of kernel error you could have, before going to fixing dsdt.

I don't know if this is the same problem but I've noticed a lot of
systems with AML opcodes outside any method. This is technically
illegal but iasl should still be able to handle it.

Sorry in advance if this is the wrong ml for my question, or if this one is
bad formed.

I've a new asus a3527nuh. I've decompiled my dsdt and trying to compile it
with iasl I can observe there is an error, it seems a stupid error, but I'm
not able to solve it.

So I've decide to post it here in attachment (tar-gzipped) so someone can,
perhaps, debug it better than me.

Notebook is ASUS A3N family
Bios is 0205 version
